About Me

Bio

Hello! I'm Mohit Pinninti, a motivated first-year Computer Engineering major at the Georgia Institute of Technology looking to get involved with startups and developing businesses, especially those involving the latest technology!

Besides school, my main organized extracurricular at school is Startup Exchange, the largest student-run entrepreneurship organization at Georgia Tech, for which I am currently the Webmaster. Besides that, I spend a lot of time with my friends, whether it be playing sports like ultimate frisbee and volleyball, or watching the latest movies. I'm currently also working on an app idea to help me and my friends communicate a little bit better.

If you like what I'm doing and want to support me or would just like to chat, you can contact me through my social media links or message me through the chat feature on the Contact page!

One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.

Goals

My major goal right now is to get as much from college as I can! I plan to graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering by May of 2023 and then apply to the BS/MS program here at Georgia Tech so that I can finish my master's degree just one year after, although I'm still deciding whether I want to stay in Computer Engineering for that or switch to Human-Computer Interaction. College as an international student is expensive, otherwise, I wouldn't mind staying an extra semester or two if I think that I can take more interesting classes in my field.

How do I plan to do this? I am currently on an H1-Visa which does not allow me to work, so instead of internships, I will be taking classes this summer, and combined with the credits that I came into tech with, I should be able to cut out a whole year of school. However, I don't want to graduate with no experience, so I will be taking on internships as frequently as possible after I do receive an Employment Authorization Document (EAD). I will definitely be working every summer after this one as well as during the fall/winter breaks. I also plan on doing a Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) based around restoration of retro devices and game consoles into something a little bit more futuristic during my late second or early third year. Lastly, I want to see how the real world works, and if any of my design ideas show promise, I will definitely get involved in the Create-X program for my Senior Design Project.
